The Bridge Between Who You Are and Who You’re Becoming

I’ve been in numerous conversations with women, leaders, and professionals to know this:
Almost no one feels “ready” before they take the leap.

We tell ourselves stories. I’ll start when I have more time. I’ll go for it when I feel more confident. I’ll change careers when I’m 100% sure it will work.

But here’s the truth I’ve learned in my 25+ years of performing, teaching, and coaching:
That perfect moment never arrives.

The gap between who you are now and who you want to become is bridged by action, not by waiting.

The Season I Almost Stayed Stuck

Years ago, I was standing at a crossroads.
From the outside, life looked full. The performances, the teaching career, being a law clerk, and the leadership work. But deep down, I sensed there was something more I was meant to step into. It was as if the path I’d been walking had prepared me for something greater, and I could feel the pull toward it.

It wasn’t that my life was falling apart. It was that my soul was asking for more. More depth, more alignment, more truth.

I could have stayed where I was. It was safe. Predictable.
But safety and purpose don’t always live in the same place.

So I took a step. Then another. And in doing so, I crossed the bridge between “what is” and “what could be.”

Why We Resist Change (and Why It’s Worth Pushing Through)

Change is uncomfortable because it demands that we forget what we’ve mastered.
But mastery of the old can never create the life you’re meant to live in the new.

The resistance you feel?
That’s not a sign you shouldn’t move forward. It’s proof that you’re on the edge of growth.

I’ve seen it in executives who felt burnt out until they stepped into values-driven leadership.
I’ve seen it in women who thought they’d lost their confidence until they reclaimed it through embodiment and voice work.
I’ve experienced it myself, time and again, as I’ve evolved in my identity, deepened my purpose, and embraced new chapters in life.

How to Cross Your Own Bridge

When I work with clients, we start by getting crystal clear on two things:

  • Your current truth. Where you really are, beneath the surface.

  • Your desired vision. Not the “safe” one, the true one.

From there, we create a strategy that blends mindset, embodiment, and aligned action.

It’s not just about thinking differently.
It’s about living differently.

A Note If You’re Standing at the Edge Right Now

If you’re reading this and you feel that whisper in your chest, that pull toward something new, please know this:
You don’t have to burn everything down to begin.
You just have to take your first aligned step.

Maybe that’s starting a conversation.
Maybe it’s journaling your real desires.
Maybe it’s booking that call.

The bridge between who you are and who you’re becoming is built one step at a time.

And every step is worth it.

I ROSE, and YOU can too.
